Marco Galeotti (Ravenna, Italy – 1978)
After many years spent in the Italian underground music scene, in 2017 Marco begins a new artistic journey. Without any artistic training or particular references but only guided by instinct comes the first works, the first experiments. Wood is the basis of all its works: boards, pallets, packaging, beached wood; every piece of reclaimed wood is taken and transformed, with the addition of gesso or plaster, acrylics or enamels takes new shapes, new look, new life. The main result of his work is materic abstract paintings, attributable to Abstract Expressionism or Arte Informal, his painting are often gloomy, with few recurring colors and strong contrasts, but sometimes his inspiration is at the service of sculptures, installations, artistic lamps or furnishing elements.
